Welcome to Tamarak Farm

Tamarak is located on the Piket-Bo-Berg. The Piket-Bo-Berg is home to fruit and flower farms but also to people that want to escape the city and own a small piece of farmland Tamarak is a small farm producing a variety of proteas, leucadendrons and leucospermum for the local and export market. In addition, we also have about 5 hectares of almonds and an old quince orchard from which harvest we make a variety of quince goodies. Quince cottage, our self-catering cottage is located next to the quince orchard, hence its name. The views from the farm stretch as far as Simonsberg towards the south and St Helena Bay in the northwest. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Table Mountain! The vegetation on the farm is mostly arid fynbos and right through the year, there are flowers to be spotted in the veld. The farm is also home to Vaal ribbok, Duikers, Grysbokkies and Klipspringers. We have a resident pair of Jackal buzzards; many fynbos bird species and Secretary birds visit often. We have a small staff complement of 9 people and we are all proud to call Tamarak our home, the place we love best in the world!
